About Michael DeLucia

Dr. Michael De Lucia teaches a special topics course in network security applied machine learning and collaborates with UD ECE students and faculty on cyber security and machine learning topics. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 2020 with a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering focusing on research in machine learning detection of encrypted malicious activities and innovating Adversarial Machine Learning (AML) attacks and defenses within a network security context. He currently works for the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) where he focuses on research of AML and Machine Learning within a network security context. Dr. De Lucia has over 14 years of experience working in cyber security within the U.S. Department of the Army and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Information Technology and Master’s in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
