Center for Cybersecurity, Assurance and Privacy (CCAP)
The University of Delaware Center for Cybersecurity, Assurance and Privacy (CCAP)
is a new University-wide center with its home in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Our vision is to establish a Center for Cybersecurity, Assurance and Privacy (CCAP) that will focus on protecting cyberspace through innovative research, and preparing the next generation of security professionals through excellence in cybersecurity education. The goal of CCAP is to establish itself as a nationally competitive driver for grand cybersecurity challenges, including:
- Privacy in cloud computing and healthcare,
- Security and assurance in financial transactions,
- Protection of our personal devices and digital identity, and
- Defending the national infrastructure and resources.
DHS & NSA Center of Excellence in Cyber Defense Education
The National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security have designated the University of Delaware a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE).
The goal of the program is to reduce vulnerability in the national information infrastructure by promoting higher education and research in cyber defense and producing professionals with cyber defense expertise for the nation.
